"Probably this wasn't the right hotel for us. 10 years ago this was a beachy backpacker area, now it's casinos and hot pot places. Still loud beach bars though, the hotel gives you earplugs when you check in. The hotel was fine, not as nice as the photos but fine. But the area was fairly unclean and felt a bit unsafe."

"I stayed here in one of the bungalows, and the entire stay was perfect. Yes, it can get a bit loud at times, but most of the festivities would die down by 11:30 pm.
Now, the guys and girls working at Mad Monkey make everything possible. I was really impressed with Thida who really seemed to have my back at every turn. I also have to give a special shout out to two backpackers/staff members who really embodied the Mad Monkey experience.
