"We were there during a heat wave and it was lovely to have a room with air conditioning! The staff was incredibly accomodating (thank you for being so sweet, Jasmine!), and the breakfast was lovely and suitable for guests with food allergies. "Beautiful. Classic. Timeless. Built in 1935 as a railway hotel, it is still serving that purpose today. We came in by train and used the Royal Oxford Hotel as a staging base as we quickly explored Oxford. I'm the future we need to spend more time! Anyway, the Royal Oxford Hotel was an excellent location as we came in by train and then moved along our travels by train. Thanks ROH!"

"The historic building is simply beautiful, very charming, and well-restored. The room was spacious, and the bathroom was well-equipped. The service in the restaurant was very friendly but extremely slow. The food was rather mediocre. Breakfast was actually quite poor. There was barely a tablespoon of yogurt with the granola, and the toast was cold and hard like rusk. The location itself is beautiful."
