"Location was perfect and room comfortable. Loved that our room had a short deck which opens out towards the front of property, overlooking a breathtaking view. Only feedback in kind is, reception could have been friendlier. It totally set a morose energy to an already morose winter evening. Perhaps she had a long day and was tired 🙃"

"Lovely hotel in a great location. The family room was huge with a seating area. Very comfortable bed and super shower. Lovely staff, especially the young lady who was in the busy restaurant alone during dinner but managed to remain smiling throughout service. Very nice breakfast but we were a bit disappointed by dinner. Limited choices and a lack of fresh salads etc. We had a pizza from Daddi’s nearby one night. Very nice but expensive! "The breakfast at Hotel Akureyri was fantastic! Waffles, eggs, fresh bread and rolls and fresh fruit among other delicious goodies! The hotel was in walking distance to many activities in the area and the staff was super helpful in finding a place for dinner. The rooms were very nice. The only negative side to this hotel was a lack of laundry service. When I booked this hotel in July 2025 for an April 2026 visit, the booking site said Hotel Akureyri had laundry services. They did not. ...
