"It is right on the beach with lots of oceanview rooms. It's on the rainforest side so beautiful mountains and nice breezes. In the offseason the food options on the property are limited, but adequate. It's right near an amazing RTJ designed golf course which is beautiful. It is dark at night on that side of the island, and I was not comfortable enough to drive at night, but there is plenty of daylight to explore, then unwind at the resort in the evening. "We just got back from staying in the Sunset Suite at VH with our family of 4. We loved the quirkiness of the house, built in the late 18th century so it has wonky floors, but it gives it character. The 2 bedrooms are the only rooms with A/C so be prepared for the living room, kitchen and bathroom to be a lil toasty. We did ask for an extra box fan, which they kindly provided.
