"We went for two nights and stayed for four. This was our second visit in a couple of months. They say the staff make any business and in the case of the crown this is the truth. In all the thousands of hotel nights I’ve had in my life I’ve never known friendlier and more helpful staff. Special mention to Kasey and Zoe on Reception for all they did for us. The hotel is a period property and absolutely in character with the town. You can feel the splendid history of the place as you sit in the magnificent reception. The new executive breakfast option is an absolute must, well worth upgrading for. This is a really well run business."

"We loved the hotel, very regal looking! Staff werw friendly. Clean and spacious. If i had to guve a negative it would be only one lift which was extremely slow and on a personal note, the bed was extremely hard. We both woke up with sore hips! Again that doesnt mean everyone will find the bed too hard. The bedding and bedroom were beautiful and clean. All in all would definitely recommend and would come again. "
