"The property was clean, but substandard in most areas. The welcome on arrival was pretty much non existent and we were told our confirmed Expedia booking didnt exist.
The room was very small and the shower more so. There was 1 towel for 2 of us, though another was delivered on request.
The aircon, which was essential leaked water when switched on. We put down a towel to catch the drips, but by morning the curtains (which incidently couldn't be opened) were drenched as was the towel we placed...

"This was our second visit to Deception Valley. We enjoyed our first visit so much we went back. The guides are very knowledgeable compared to some other camps we have visited and the trackers are outstanding. The walk with the Bushmen through the brush is truly a unique experience. We saw several species endemic to the Kalahari. The lodge coordinates with several charter services out of Maun making flight arrangements seamless. The food was to our liking, and the gemsbok kabobs served...

"A little disappointed with the Reception staff who weren’t very welcoming but it got better. WiFi connection was very hard to get in our room unless you connected near reception.
New (double) bed needed as it was very springy and made sleeping very difficult. Good facilities with the pool which, sadly we couldn’t use due to time constraints."

"Bereits an der Hauptstraße B300 gibt es eine Beschilderung zur Lodge. Die ca. 70 km lange Anfahrt erfolgt über eine Sandpiste, die nur mit einem Allradfahrzeug zu bewältigen ist. Die Begrüßung war sehr persönlich und das Personal sehr freundlich und bemüht. Die angebotenen Aktivitäten wurden sehr individuell durchgeführt. Die Ausstattung des Luxuszeltes war hervorragend. Alles super sauber. Das Frühstück und Abendessen waren sehr gut. Alle Getränke auch tagsüber waren inklusiv."

"Expedia took my money for the booking but there was no response from the property via messages or telephone and after taking a taxi to get there the place was closed. Need a full refund- how can Expedia still take the money if the property is not operating????"

"WILL NOT HONOR YOUR RESERVATION. A member of my party arrived on the check in date with the confirmation from Hotels.com. The concierge informed them there was no record of the reservation and that the KESMO LODGE DOES NOT WORK WITH HOTELS.COM.
Hotels.com worked with me to resolve the issue, but the Kesmo Lodge was completely absent and not part of the solution. "

"I have been in this lodge 2 days with my sons. I liked the style, the view and the staff. But in particular the surrounding area was amazing small rivers, lakes, wildlife was all there!
Lions with cubs, a family of hyenas, antelopes, giraffes, wildebeests, bison… beautiful!"
