"New staff from last year. We recognized only two - front desk and massuse (sp?). Food was excellent, but very slow. 90 minute wait for lunch special. Two hours at one dinner and still waiting for main course. Sailboat broken and paddle boards broken by bartenders who should not have been using. Our room had a broken door. "I had an amazing journey on this trip. I actually cried when I got on the airplane to go back home. "My husband and I did a quick getaway and stayed at the Villa Del Mar. We had a wonderful stay, rooms were spacious yet cozy and clean. It felt like a mini apartment on the beach. It was a quick 3 min walk to the beach (which was located across the street thru another hotel). Karon the beach attendant for Villa Del Mar was outstanding he set up our beach chairs every morning and gave us a prime spot. Beaches were the most beautiful we have ever seen and we travel a lot.
