"The first time we went , we were on the 4th floor. The elevator only went to the 3rd floor! It was a weirdly laid out room. Not very efficient. The second time we went, we were on the first floor, but the shower was visible to guests and vice versa. Odd. The breakfast was ho hum. Cleaning Staff was unfriendly and parking left much to be desired. Would not recommend this place."

"Hotel was well maintained and clean. Room was on the 3rd floor over looking the harbour. Absolutely stunning view. Could see the ships coming and going as well as Signal Hill. Hotel was in a great location and parking was on-site. Would recommend and will stay here again."

"The property is in a great location ~ walking distance to yummy restaurants & noteworthy sites! Accommodations were comfy, clean & well-appointed; our room was spacious & laid out nicely for travellers. Breakfast was perfect with lots of healthful options! Our host was wonderful with interesting stories, helpful suggestions & a high degree of professionalism! Our stay at the Balmoral made our first visit to St. John’s a highly memorable experience! Grateful!"
