"This hotel has gone through a major renewal over the past 10+ years. I lived in Grantown-on-Spey for over a decade and I have seen this hotel at its absolute worst. It is now an absolute gem of a local hotel. Conveniently located in the center of the Scottish Highlands making day trips to 4 corners of Scotland quite doable. I know, I have done it!! "Friendly and welcoming staff. Unexpected room upgrade upon arrival which was wonderful. If you want charm in a beautiful Highlands locale along the whisky trail, this is it. Dinner was incredibly delicious in the hotel's dining room. Their chef is out of this world. Bar has every whisky known to man ... kidding of course, but they are well stocked and knowledgeable. "Beautiful hotel in wooded setting. We stayed in the courtyard room outside of main hotel. Very quiet. We added breakfast which was very nice & convenient in the lovely dining room. Only issue was the bed comfort. There were “straps” joining the mattress to make it a larger size but no mattress cover which was quite uncomfortable. Our request for a mattress cover & top sheet be added was done before bed. Duvets are nice but very warm so top sheet was perfect."

"Stayed with my family in a top floor room. The owners/hosts are lovely, nothing is too much trouble. I felt they genuinely cared about our stay, the room was spotlessly clean , comfy and modern. Would stay again in a heart beat. Keep up the great work. A+++++"
