"La Pentera is a new property which has a unique concept of a tree house. The property is quite far from the Udawalawe National Park - about 30 km or so. The directions are also unclear, even if you use googlemaps. The property is new and in great condition. However, there are things that could be better, especially the food. The bathroom has hot water though there is some water leakage. A great experience stay but could be better."

"Very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is basic, clean and comfortable. By basic I mean thin mattress and solid beds. It is not a luxury hotel. But it is very nice especially for the price. Easy walk to town to get stuff from the markets. The manager was able to quickly book a safari truck for me and the price he got from his friend was cheaper than the official rate the park charges if you get a truck at the park. Really nice safaris."

"We had a wonderful stay and Wild Trails right on the river near Uda Walame National Park. Air conditioning, en suite, a porch, all with a tent, very cool. It was great listening to the birds as we woke up in the morning after a great sleep in the comfy bed. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Food was good although we were not there on a barbecue night which would have been great. Wifi in the lovely common area near the reception. Could not believe we had a swimming pool too. They might...
