"We booked the hotel the evening we intended to arrive. No where on the booking information did it say that Reception was open for limited hours. When we arrived at the hotel it was in darkness, no sign of any staff and there were no vehicles in the car park. The hotel looked empty and not in use. "This is an excellent hotel from rooms to staff to location. The Michelin star restaurant on-site makes it wonderful. - Lunch: The service at the other restaurant on property with different staff is not always on top of things. (Some of the Michelin staff start their day here, and they are amazing.) - Breakfast buffet is fabulous. Two points to note: - pillows are standard stiff foam and no options are available. Consider bringing your own. - fitness room. Noted in website, but unavailable. If you’re looking for a getaway, Aquapetra should be on your list."

A splendid place
"This was quite a find - with such an interesting name, I just had to book a night there. It really is a jewel, it seems very new. We arrived early and had a splendid greeting. In view of our disability and difficulty walking, we were changed to a ground floor room which was spacious and seriously cool in the current heatwave. It feels like a farm with all the lovely hens and chicks around. Breakfast was ample and tasty. "
