"I've stayed at the Sakura Inn on multiple occasions. It is centrally located to downtown Los Angeles, and cities in the San Gabriel Valley and San Fernando Valley. The current owners seem indifferent to basic guestroom maintenance. To be specific, I took photos of a loose faucet and a broken door seal, and showed them to the innkeeper. She promised to share my concerns with her husband. During my stay, no one came to inspect my room.

"I would love to give this Hotel an excellent rating but there were a few small issues. The toilet stopped working Sunday night. Then, I came back from a very stressful drive and was locked out of my room. Why couldn’t they wait until today after I left. Then, I stepped in some gooey substance on the floor left by the people who changed my lock. I ruined a good pair of socks. Also, I walked around barefooted for a few hours. "We were given an upstairs room on the right alcove. Upon approaching the room on the top floor landing, in full view were small plastic tubs collecting some kind of liquid “run-off” from what appeared to be the AC units of the upstairs rooms. "The property is located in a bad part of town, and I don't know why other people that gave reviews say it was in a good area! I've lived in Long Beach, California for over 48 years, and this motel is on PCH, and not close to the beach at all! It's in the old ,'Red light' district, with many homeless people around this area, and the rooms were 'ok', but the security was non existent in the parking area. It's a cheap place to stay, and has a microwave and fridge to use in the room, and shampoo etc...
