"We stayed there for 2 days, and it was a nice experience. We had 3 kids and an infant, and we felt safe and cared for. My only complaint would be the breakfast options are limited but the omlet was delicious"

"This property is beautiful. It isn’t very large and is well secured so it feels like a perfect little oasis. It is directly across the street from the beach. The pool was wonderful. I highly recommend this place!"

"Couldn't have asked for a better stay! From start to finish they made this birthday trip amazing for my first time in CR. Communication was prompt and clear, they coordinated my airport transfers and I had no issue getting to or from the hotel. They even allowed me to check in a bit earlier knowing how long the ride from San Jose to Puerto Viejo was. Raymundo, Oscar, Janny(sp) and the whole team were wonderful. "10/10 no complaints. The staff was friendly and accommodating. They clean the room extremely thoroughly daily, the FOOD and DRINKS were both phenomenal. You can tell their ingredients are fresh and the chefs make the food with love. I’ve honestly never had such a perfect experience. Hotel banana azul was the perfect welcome I needed for my first time in Costa Rica. Thank you to Banana Azul team!"

"Overall good, but below expectations on pickup service, we were told to pay for private boat, as we were not coming on exact time, even though we told we were coming from another Boena hotel. The only changed the price, when Boena Pacuare Lodge called tortuga lodge, then the price was different. Very bad service!!"
