La Paz Municipality Hotels with Air Conditioning

"This hotel is very old and outdated. The location is far from everything — there are no convenient stores or town nearby, except La Paz, which is about 30 minutes away. While the staff was friendly and welcoming, the hotel amenities were quite poor overall. The bed was very uncomfortable, and the pillows were essentially useless. During our stay, we found three cockroaches in our room. I understand this can be common in Mexico, but it was still the final straw in what was already a disappointing experience. When we arrived at the airport, the rental car company had oversold vehicles, leaving us without a car for two days, which made transportation very challenging. Uber drivers were generally unwilling to travel all the way to the hotel, and although we were given the contact information for an excellent taxi driver, Alejandro, it often took 25–30 minutes for him to reach us. I would recommend this hotel only to travelers on a tight budget or to those with very modest expectations."

"Overall, I had a great experience at this hotel. Everything was very well maintained, and the staff—though a small team—were incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming. The property is beautiful and perfect for couples or anyone looking to truly disconnect. I highly recommend staying in the “dome” rooms for a unique experience. Getting there can be a bit challenging due to the sandy road, but once you arrive, it feels like a hidden paradise. The beach is practically untouched, very quiet, and ideal for complete relaxation. A few suggestions to enhance the experience: the atmosphere can be too quiet at times—adding one or two hours of more upbeat music at the pool could help. Also, the hotel has a pizza oven that isn’t being used, which feels like a missed opportunity for a great lunch offering. Lastly, I asked if I could invite two friends to visit, planning to spend at the restaurant and bar, but they were required to purchase a day pass. Given how quiet the hotel is and that I was already a guest, this felt inflexible. We ended up going elsewhere, which was a missed F&B opportunity for the hotel. Overall, a beautiful place with excellent service, and with a bit more flexibility and small enhancements, it could be even better."

"Location was nice, right on the beach. Cerritos itself is kinda weird. Felt like a pop-up beach town mixed with the days leading up to a festival? The pool was nice and big but lots of kids and screaming. The rooms were super bare bones. Only one night stand provided so I had to put my stuff on the floor next to my bed. No hanging rod or hangers in the closet. No light in the closet. No hooks anywhere except for one in the bathroom. A beach hotel with no hooks? The floor felt slimy all the time and the provided shampoo and soap was out of a dispenser that could have been in a truck stop restroom, very chemical smelling. Maybe saw some mouse poop on the floor and the bed a couple times? Didn't want to think about it. They also expected us to wear paper wrist bands during our stay? Very odd. Location on the beach was nice though, and we saw a ton of whales, which was awesome. "
