"Nice resort… very quiet, staff are very laid back and slow!! The resort is a little tired and is in need of some TLC. Would not say this is 5star. The dirt track leading up to it….. well OMG it’s like off roading. "

"The Residence was the perfect spot to celebrate my 40th birthday. The deluxe garden view with the private pool was exact atmosphere my husband and I were looking for. The hotel is extremely clean and they even offer room cleanings twice a day. And we also loved the different themed dinner options each night along side with a live band performance! The staff make you feel at home and apart of the family. Nico always greeted us with a warm smile and helped us capture precious moments. The location is a little far from main attractions but I promise it’s worth it. Thank you to all the staff that made our visit to Zanzibar so special!♥️"

"To call this hotel a 4 star hotel is a disgrace to actual 4 star hotels; it is maybe 3 stars in its best days, more realistically 2 stars. The amenities themselves are dated, and there is no dependable electric. I had to have the maintenance team come to my room 3+ times to reset the electric for the AC, water heater, etc, before finally just giving up and surrendering to the heat. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere in Paje, there are much nicer properties to choose from. I’m convinced the other reviews on here are fake because they in no way reflect my experience there. "

"We had a lovely stay at this charming hotel. Its in a good location, and right on the beach making it easy to explore the local attractions, take boat trips and visit the nearby village. The staff were all really helpful, attentive and friendly. The pool and grounds are well maintained and the rooms spacious, clean and comfortable. The delicious food was fresh, locally sourced and plentiful - we sampled it all. We particularly enjoyed the floating breakfast on our last morning. Entertainment was good too, and was delivered with enthusiasm. A particular highlight for us was the African evening, the fire eating was seriously impressive! The team clearly work well together to create a relaxed, uncomplicated atmosphere for their guests, we felt very much at home. Highly recommended."
