"I imagine the property to once be an amazing hotel but found it to now be a little tired & maybe in need of updating. Staff were extremely helpful & friendly, especially the young lady at reception. "Lovely hotel in a fantastic location. The two young male reception staff Can (not sure the other's name) were very helpful, friendly, and welcoming throughout our stay, which we really appreciated. Unfortunately, our arrival experience was disappointing. We checked in at around 8pm after a long day of travelling and were initially told we had received a complimentary room upgrade. However, the upgrade was not provided, and we ended up having to move rooms twice and wait around before finally getting settled. It was frustrating, especially as we noticed other guests receiving their upgraded rooms immediately. This left us wondering whether our ethnicity may have played a role, which created an uncomfortable first impression and stay. The housekeeping staff were exceptional and deserve special recognition for their hard work and professionalism. Breakfast was acceptable but nothing special. The selection remained largely the same each day and did not quite live up to the expectations created by other reviews. Although a plus is that if you request an omelette, they will make it fresh for you. The spa facilities were good, but they were difficult for us to use as the area was not segregated. It would be great if the hotel could consider offering women-only and men-only hours for at least part of the day. Another disappointment was that management never acknowledged us during our stay. I’m not sure the overall experience matched what I would expect from a 5-star hotel."
