"This place is the beach resort experience we were looking for! Palapas, to lay under looking out over the beautiful sea, white sand, a pool and very friendly staff! The morning breakfast buffet had a lot of variety, the regular menu had plenty to choose from, and did I mention the staff was so pleasant! We stayed in the least expensive rooms bc we weren’t planning to spend much time there, they were more than sufficient with a comfy bed, cool AC and hot shower! It is a long walk from the rooms to the beach with a lot of stairs, we enjoyed the walk but it is not ADA friendly. We used the spa for a great haircut with Ali and lovely massages from Nuru, my son went sky diving with JJ, we booked an ATV tour with OSSELICHE Quad Tours and had a great time with Junior and crew. We had great service from Neha, Haji, Malele, Naheem, Frank and many others. And we enjoyed live entertainment, live music and bonfires at night. There may be more luxurious places but for our family with teens, it was perfect! "

"We stayed for 4 nights as a family of four in the Bustani Suite and had a wonderful experience. The suite was very spacious with comfortable beds, and it was cleaned daily to a high standard. The staff were exceptionally polite and helpful, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was a real highlight each day, with fresh and delicious fruit and juices that we all looked forward to. The hotel itself is beautifully situated in a quiet and peaceful area, with stunning ocean views that added to the relaxed atmosphere. We felt safe and very well looked after throughout our stay. "Great hotel. Food was amazing! Not so much party life at night in the hotel. Some karaoke but no dancing. Crowd is older more for relaxing. But the service was top notch! "

"Amazing hotel and staff! My every need was met and there was always a staff member close by who was willing to help. We arrived early and our rooms were not ready, they took our bags from us and allowed us to get ready in the change rooms. We went to our excursion and came back to find our luggage in our rooms! They even offered late check out for us! Ahmed is the best bartender ever! Made the best drinks and always had a smile on his face! Too many amazing staff to call out. I will miss Lux Marijani and the memories I had made over that week! The only down side I would say is the location is a bit far from stone town and other excursions around Zanzibar. However, the remote location makes for relaxation, quiet and great beaches! Expect a minimum of 1.5 hours each way to commute into the city areas like Stone Town. Other than that, for what you get in quality and celebrity treatment, the distance is the minimum of your worries! The staff literally cater to your every need! One other story, I came back from an excursion and needed dental floss. A staff member was prepared to call a pharmacy to get someone to deliver it to my room. I declined because it wasn’t necessary but just goes to demonstrate how serious they take guest satisfaction! Loved this place and will miss it tremendously. "

"Great decor! Brand new wing is lovely but note is separate to the main hotel. Excellent breakfast. Very honest staff. The hotel tours team v high std and good value for Dhow and snorklong trips. Spa appraently good but disaapintingly hard to book. "
