"A Hotel Experience Like No Other I have travelled to many places and stayed at wonderful, luxurious hotels, but I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed a hotel as much as this one. It is truly amazing in so many ways. The Soul of the Hotel – The Staff The best thing about the hotel is the staff—they are the soul of the place and make your stay unforgettable. Everyone is genuinely kind and interested in you, from the gardeners tending to the grounds to the chef, reception staff, and waiters. Their warmth and care are what truly set this resort apart. Specifically, I would like to thank the following staff for taking such wonderful care of us during our stay. All the staff members were incredibly kind, but we interacted the most with Osrida, Christina, Sarah, Odria, Ellen, Lydia, and Anna. They were kind, efficient, and made us feel like part of a family. Their attentiveness and friendliness added so much joy to our time at the resort. Breathtaking Setting and Beautiful Grounds The hotel is situated in a beautiful lagoon in Nungwi, with absolutely breathtaking beaches. A special touch: there’s a bench placed by the hotel for guests to sit and enjoy the staggeringly beautiful sunsets over the beach and pool area. The grounds feel like an oasis unto themselves. I ventured outside and looked at other nearby hotels, but none had the same lush, manicured greenery. It felt like living in a botanical garden, surrounded by birdsong. Truly a paradise. "

" My partner and I spent 8 nights at Riu Jambo and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room was clean, spacious, and overlooked the beach, which made for a beautiful setting. Housekeeping maintained it well, with daily cleaning that kept everything fresh and comfortable. The staff at Riu Jambo were outstanding — always full of energy, warm, and incredibly helpful. I unfortunately had an accident while in Zanzibar (unrelated to the hotel), and the way the staff supported me during my recovery was truly exceptional. They were accommodating, caring, and always ready to assist. A special thank you to William, who we often saw in the buffet dining room. He was a pleasure to speak with and always made sure my partner and I were comfortable and well looked after. The rest of the breakfast and dinner team were equally amazing — attentive, friendly, and welcoming throughout our stay. While the food could be a little repetitive at times, there was a wide variety and something to suit everyone’s tastes. If I return to Zanzibar, I would absolutely stay here again. "Was expecting a nice experience based on the type of beachfront room we selected. Both of our butlers were extremely helpful including Salim helping me discourage my extremely stubborn gf (who can’t swim!) from taking a kayak out on a very windy and wave filled day. She was not listening to me at all - and his assistance was above and beyond. Additionally, Anthony, the restaurant staff, facilities and especially the food was outstanding! Far exceeded our expectations. Having been in the sales and marketing business I have attended my share of buffet style meals. Every night GB treated us to something different and delicious. You won’t want/need to eat anywhere else! Last add. I don’t drink alcohol but I’m a bit addicted to zero sugar Coca-Cola. I asked for the mini bar to stock them up a bit. Every day we were there included 3-4 extras. Never needed to ask again. And try the hibiscus iced tea. Out of this world! "
