"Party atmosphere was good! Although, staff are rude. Room was not ready when I arrived. Wi-fi never worked. Cafes on territory couldnt confirm my room number every time as if I never booked it there. Swim up pool was very dirty and disgusting. On top of that the room was literally in front of the cement roof blocking the ocean view amd all, so paying 700 dollars for this kind of (swim-up) room is not worth it."

"Velas is a beautiful resort. The staff has always been helpful and very friendly. Fun activities and nightly shows along with good food with themed dinners. There is a nice and clean gym that has the basics for a good workout. The rooms are comfortable and relaxing. We have stayed here many times and will continue to return."

"They make up the room everyday. The facility in general is clean and this hotel is away from the hustle and bustle of Malecon and Zona Romantica. If in the future I will have the heart to return to PV, I will stay at Mio."

"Overall it was a decent stay. I wish they would have told me the main pool was going to be under construction pretty much my whole stay. The food was not the best, tho they did try to make it fun and festive. It’s a great family resort just wish they had better quality food and alcohol. I had a leaky pipe I told several staff about and nothing was ever done about it. Over all it is a decent place just needs major facelift. Good location lots of walkable places to eat drink and shop."

"Bed was very hard. Beach beautiful. No real resort amenities not sure why they charge a resort fee: the room card on your wrist gets really nasty fast. I’d stay again but the entire 9days they didn’t change the sheets. They just kept remaking the bed. Also you have to check out an iron and they don’t give wash clothes. Not a resort more of a hotel. Otherwise not bad."
