"Communication was not good the first couple of days, no address was given, the address they gave us was a general address. My plane was delayed and i arrived late, tried to communicate with the host, was able to get connected to them 10 mins after midnight, expedia send me an email saying i wont meet anyone, and a code for a lock box will be provided, host refused to check me in claiming that someone will need to meet me and he has no one after midnight, so i had to find a different place to stay the first night. The room was given to me was in really bad shape, mold on walls, electric outlet exposed and dangerous, no towels, no bathroom papers (unless i pay for it), no shampoo or soap (unless i pay for it). I dont recommend this place. Place wasn’t clean. "
"I am giving the benefit of the doubt with my 2 star review, hoping that those travelling in the summer can have an amazing experience - because the property is truly gorgeous. We had a wonderful first hour there, exploring the beauty of the place. It will take your breath away. However, unfortunately during our stay, we arrived to no power, no internet, no running water, and a freezing room. The power and water eventually returned. As the night got colder and we began feeling hungry, we tried to reach out to the manager who assured us we would be able to contact him to open the gate for food deliveries, or he would himself bring us food/water from the nearby city. His phone was off for hours. The property was completely empty. No security guard to be found. The lights were off. We felt like we were in a horror movie - freezing, hungry, thirsty, for hours, wandering the property with flashlights trying to find another human to speak to. No one answering their phones. We decided to order a taxi and leave, because we felt unsafe. Reminder, this all occurs over the span of hours. We secured a taxi (difficult in this remote area!), and got to the gate, only to realize it was locked! The taxi was on the other side with no way for us to get to it. No one answering the phone. No security guards. We considered climbing over the gate but felt unsafe. I was able to contact Xuru Stays (in New Cairo! Not nearby) via whatsapp and they were able to contact security to let us out and flee. "
"
Well run boutique hotel on part of the original de Lesseps house (the first house built in Ismalia overlooking the new canal). Beautiful throw back decoration/art ( including de Lesseps original horse carriage) in line with the historic nature of the building. The hotel staff are efficient and friendly and the hotel is right next to the amazing Suez Canal museum which has a unique collection (including the statue of de Lesseps).

"Room was carpeted which attracted dust. Room stank of cigarettes. I requested a double bed, but was given a room with THREE single beds! Restaurant was full of flies, so could not eat there, as hygiene was poor, as I saw waiter checking temperature of cooked food with his bare hands. Cooked food was cold. I could not wait to leave."
