"The staff was great. When they saw how bad my husband's walking was, they switched us to a closer room, without us even asking. The room was very nice, modern and clean. Pools were beautiful and clean. Pool bars had excellent service, and drinks as you like them. My only concern was how thoroughly the non- disposable drink cups were washed? My favorite part was seeing the monkeys playing in the trees near the pools! The food was ok. Steakhouse was very good. Asian restaurant was excellent....

"A well maintained older hotel, ideal for families and children loving people. The pool is huge and numerous activites for every one. Food is ok. Service is slow but attentive Since the premices are enourmous they provide a very, very efficient bus sevice. We loves our stay"

"The pool was enjoyable. However, I did have a little issue w any food that I left in the room for later, was always removed and discarded. After being in the pool all day, you would want a little snack when u return to the room until dinner. The food that I had in the fridge was also discarded."

"There is no wait staff at any of the resort except in the restaurants. In bars and at pools you have to go to the bar yourself. There is very limited shade at the pools. Only loungers and no sitting tables. Seats in the shade get towels on them as early as 6am. The food is limited in selection although the wings, burgers and fries from the grill at lunch were great. 3 out of 4 of us got diarrhea and puking at some point over the 2 weeks there. 2 got very sick for a few days. Not alcohol related."

"Very attentive and friendly staff. Sunset view was beautiful. Having a regular shuttle to the beach and restaurant on site was a great asset for this stay. The only thing I missed was an all inclusive breakfast that we had at all of our other stays in Costa Rica. "

"Amazing property, wonderful staff…my only gripe would be that there isn’t an adults only pool. When getting away from kids, it would be nice to have an adults only area with no kids allowed. All in all though, we loved it. Room was great, food was amazing, and service was top notch. We’ll still be back…possibly just with our kids next time instead. "

"The room was very nice. I will say that I didn't have any furniture on my balcony, which was kind of a bummer. I've seen other complaints about staff being rude, not the case with me. The staff at the restaurants, bars, and rooftop were very nice and very friendly. I have seen other reviews about the front desk staff being rude. Personally? I didn't experience that but didn't have very many interactions with them other than hello. So, no problems there. I would recommend this hotel for...
