"Service was excellent, very happy with the staff. The room was also generally very clean and pretty comfortable. The downsides were primarily in room condition. There is a lot of fit and finish that should be done to bring the rooms up to a suitable standard. I appreciate the historic nature of the motel and don't expect remodeling, though there were issues like missing/damaged trim, pretty poor paint, poor seal around the window AC, etc. I also would have appreciated black out curtains or...

"Awesome secluded place to stay. Very cozy and clean. I am very glad we brought our “camping bin” however that has a lot of supplies, like utensils, paper plates, pan, spatula etc. We cooked all our meals on the grill. The kitchenette is nice but very small. The only sink is in the bathroom. Great access to the Tail of the Dragon (25 min drive) which was the reason for our trip. If you bring a trailer DO NOT try and take it to your cabin. Park outside the gate"

"Beautiful lodge and property. I was looking for something tucked in the mountains that would accomodate my dog. Staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Mountain cabin was clean and very comfortable. Got some.nreakfsst sandwiches in the morning, amd the biscuits were delicious. There are also miles of hiking trails on and near the property, and a gorgeous river. "

"Very cozy little cabin/trailer! Sulfer water was the only thing unpleasant. Owners had bottled water in fridge which helped out. Driveway is gravel and a lottle iffu on motorcycle. Nice place over all and would stsy again."

"Loved the paved road leading to the property. Great location for what I was doing, close to hikes and scenic spots. No detergent or shampoo was a minor inconvenience, but everything else was good."

"My stay was spectacular. Accommodation were better than I anticipated. The cabin was very clean and cozy. The cabin was fully furnished, only needed my personal amenities. This is a nice place to getaway from the ways of the city. Hearing the horse and the donkey was especially refreshing. I’m already coordinate a future stay with friends. "
