Maidith Galapagos Inn

10/10 Excellent

"I cannot recommend the Maidith enough. From sitting down with Nico at check in and hearing more about the family history in building the Inn, to the delicious breakfasts, to having SO much filtered water and a mini fridge in the room, not sure they could have done anything else to make our stay amazing. Big room, close to everything but still quiet...and a place that is flat out funky in all the best ways. HUGE shout out to Nico for not just being a resource (we had Angelita do another kilo of laundry around the corner so we could pack light...and he had us come back after staying on Isabella for a few nights so he could help get us a cab to the airport for our journey home)...he is the definition of support! Thanks for doing so much to make our trip fantastic"

"Beautiful property in San Cristobal. Our family of 4 had the oceanview room. It was such a joy to watch the sea lions play from the pool. We had a busy vacation so it felt heavenly to rest and relax at the resort for a couple of days. The food was great. We had the breakfast buffet and their poolside menu. The burgers and pizza were excellent. The hot chocolate was loved by all. The beef stew in the morning with the plantain patties and yuca bread were so great. We celebrated my husband's birthday here and they brought us a yummy dessert of brownie and ice cream to share. It was lovely. The front desk staff and wait staff were all excellent. We highly recommend!"

"We loved our stay at Hotel Cucuve. The interior design of the hotel and all it’s spaces are really beautiful. The finishes. Nice. The staff are super friendly, kind, and helpful. The room was great. The bed comfortable. The bathroom nicely sized with a great shower. We also had a big balcony in our room which was a great place to hang out after an amazing day. The other room we rented had a regular sized balcony which was still nice. Both were covered which was nice. I also appreciated that they provided a portable clothes drying stand with the room so we could dry our wet clothes after the beach or excursion. Really thoughtful. We loved our stay."

"We felt very safe during our stay, and the owner’s husband was incredibly friendly and helpful. He assisted with arranging tours and transportation, which made our visit much easier. The rooms were cozy and comfortable, and the coffee was some of the best we’ve had. The main areas and outdoor facilities are showing their age and could benefit from updates and improvements. Breakfast was also a bit disappointing compared to the rest of the experience. One unexpected issue for us was the large number of cats on the property. As non-cat people, finding a cat in our room one evening and seeing cats around the breakfast area was not ideal. Overall, the hospitality was great, and with some facility updates and a few small improvements, this could be an even better experience."

"Great hotel adjacent to downtown area of puerto Ayora. Staff was fantastic and helpful. Pool area was great and helpful for the kids to play (note there is no beach in town, it’s outside of town). Poolside bar was a nice touch as well. Had bikes to loan and a kayak for the lagoon it sits on. We loved this place."
