"Our family has visited this location quite often and it seems like it’s falling behind on their cleaning. Several years back my family and I were completely impressed with how well this hotel was kept up in cleaning, smelled pleasant, and excellent staff welcoming guests. "Everything was great. Only downside for me was the showerhead in the room didn't have a setting that was ideal for thicker hair. I'm not sure if there are low-flow water restrictions in Virginia, but there most volume I could get was on the light spray plus jet massage setting, and it just wasn't very effective. My hair is on the thicker side of average, not super thick, and my shower time was a lot longer than normal. I can't imagine how something with truly thick hair would ever get their...

"Everyone who works at this hotel is friendly, helpful, and good at their jobs. While the listing on Hotels.com says they offer a free Continental breakfast, I was delighted to find it included bacon, eggs, and sausage and an elderly server who was very friendly and was constantly in motion checking and replacing different foods that were running low. In short, everyone at this place is gracious, friendly, competent, and CARES!!!"

"The staff were great. Yogi was absolutely amazing despite pulling a double shift and having problems to resolve. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool. I love how the hotel collaborates with other businesses in behalf of guests…All-trails and Golden Corral discount. The room was spacious…but the little square pillows were odd. Great history on the area. Can’t wait to explore another time."
