"Hotel Skaftafell was a good stay for us mainly because of the location. It was the most convenient choice for being near our glacier hike the next morning, and it was also easy to drive back to after our Zodiac boat tour at Glacier Lagoon. "Ok. Just left there. My expectations were much higher than I experienced starting with the pictures. What you see is the Viking Village, THAT IS NOT THE SLEEPING ROOMS, not even close.. I stayed in cabin 16, and it was much like a construction trailer, in and out. Inside furnishings were a mix of yard sale sofa and chairs and low end IKEA tables and lamps. "I loved everything about this cute, charming place! My room was spotless and oh so cozy! I love the shared kitchen, common areas and the snacks and coffee you have available. It’s just what I was looking for! Anna was very friendly also—very kind!"

"An amazing set up nice design there just were things like dust build up and really old kitchen utensils that should be replaced like a burnt old frying pan. For the money a night we expected kitchen supplies to be in good shape"

"The name of the hotel was quite misleading. I had envisioned a cozy farmhouse setting with cows and milk buckets. Don’t get me wrong, I still appreciate the name!
