"Staff members were helpful and friendly, especially the gentleman that greats you at the main entrance. The grounds are well maintained and clean. The beach area was kept tidy. The pool was large and the saunas were nice.
The free breakfast buffet was lacking. I've never tasted worse scrambled eggs. I think they must have been powered. Tasteless and watery.The fried potato patties were just grease bombs. We don't eat meat, but the sausages looked like poor quality hot dogs. As vegetarians we appreciated that they offered a salad bar. There were some nice looking coffee cakes and sweets. All of the breakfast staff workers were very helpful and attentive.
I stayed in the classic room which was very small with very dark brown carpet. You know, you never know how dirty that really is, but even with dark carpet you could see lots of spots. No shoes off in that room. It needs new light colored flooring. Old and creepy. See photos.
The beach is wonderful. The bar area is nice. There is lots of outdoor patio seating. The hotel is very close to the train station and you can walk to the town easily. There's a lot of good there, but the problems need to be addressed."
