"Arrived shortly after 5pm for our 4pm check-in, told room wasnt ready and offered downgraded room with $75 dinner voucher. Since I had 7pm dinner reservations and 8pm show tickets, I declined. I chose to wait being told my rooms cleaning would be expedited and given a $20 ticket for the bar. At 630p (an hour and a half after arrival) I went to front desk to ask about possible ETA for my room as well as seeing if they had availability to extend my stay one day. "If you like antique hotels this is definitely a great pick! Facing away from city centre towards the river, this hotel is a nice getaway on its own. The room was spacious and large and the bed was comfortable. The furniture, bathtub, and other decorative elements provide a glimpse into colonial styling. The restaurant and wine bar downstairs were exceptional in particular the large selection by the glass or bottle. "
