"Recently renovated property with amazing views over Lake Windermere. The bar and food area at the top of the property was great to kick back and relax in. The indoor spa was great and once the outdoor one is completed I’m sure we’ll come back again."

"Stayed at Low Wood Bay Resort & Spa for 3 nights and honestly… the thermal journey is the only reason I’d come back. Rooms are pretty meh—dated and not the cleanest. We were in room 166 and there were visible spill stains on the wall (not great), but it did have incredible lake views. It was also super convenient being so close to the elevator to take you to the spa. Read the fine print: access to the main pool (with infrared sauna + eucalyptus steam) is limited to 2.5 hours. "We had a relaxing couple of days. The staff were first class. Our room was clean & spacious with a lovely double kingsize bed. The service was spot on the food was of good quality,fresh & local I believe.the spa facilities are good and inclusive with extra treatments available for a fee. We came away from there feeling relaxed & refreshed. Would we go back…yes Would we recommend…yes Is there room for improvement..if there is, not by much."

"Breakfast fantastic and the staff lovely and very helpful, found spa staff curt and bordering on rude when we asked for a "float" to assist in our swim which they had in January but now claim was somethjng a previous customer had left behind. Also found operation of the spa outdoor pool buttons unpredictable ie sometimes worked and sometimes didnt. Found the reception staff especially helpful. Due to the spa being a letdown we wont be returning."

"Amazing, the photos do not do it justice, lovely cosy cottage a home from home and fully equipped. Great location, short walk to village incl pubs and chippy, also access to walks (which pass through livestick fields so dogs on leads). Grizedale forest was a short drive away with really good (long & short) walks, better for dogs off leads. "

The only negative feedback is that the Pizzas were not very nice however all the other food was absolutely amazing so please don't take this feedback the wrong way. "This is our second visit to this hotel. It is well placed for wandering around the area and boat trips. The bedroom was spotless and bed comfy. All staff friendly and attentive. Breakfast was fresh and tasty with plenty of choice "
