"The hotel is positioned about an 2 min drive from the main road, possibly an 10 minute walk. Arriving by car, there is a massive amount of parking available together with numerous disabled spots close to the main entrance. A very large and elegant foyer with an impressive chandelier and a warm welcome by staff at the reception desk was waiting. Check in was completed quickly & our room selection confirmed. Breakfast is self service and there was a good variety of food on offer to cater for most tastes. The rare 2 dining areas, one being where the breakfast is served and the other being the bar. A variety of bar meals were avavilable, but less in selection if you “fine dined” in the other area. Food costs were reasonable although prices for drinks appeared quite high. It can be a noisey area to eat in the bar we found, perhaps due to the high ceilings. Rooms were clean and well furnished. Bathroom with disability facilities was functional but in our room the was a distinct unpleasant smell from the water that we hadn’t encountered on a previous visit (different room). Value for money, it was a good price for all the facilities provided. Most hotels in Ireland tend to be great value compared to UK hotels. From the main road, a bus can be taken to visit Dublin which is around 2 hrs away. The town of Trim is around a 30min walk from the hotel."
