"My wife and I stayed at Dreams Playa Bonita for a short break. The property is well-maintained and clean. The room had everything we needed. The only slight issue was that the shower water wasn't as hot as we might have wished.
The staff at the property was friendly and proactive. After a few days, many knew me and greeted me by name.
The food options are generally good for an all-inclusive resort. It has a wonderful cafe which serves daily specials and 24-hour room service. The lunch and dinner buffets have a good selection - only the breakfast buffet is a little small. The biggest issue at breakfast is that there is only one omelet/egg cook, and depending on when you go, the line can be rather long.
The hotel has a great pool area, but the shade is limited. We ended up upgrading to get access to the premium section because it had more shaded options, but in my opinion, those should be available to standard guests, too.
The beach is nice but not a beach to swim in. If you are looking for a vacation swimming in crystal clear and calm water this is not it. But if you are looking for a good all-inclusive resort, with a great pool and looking out at the bay (there will be ships waiting for entrance into the Panama canal) then you are at the right place."
