Everything is conducted remotely. Once I was clued into this, it went much more smoothly - but for awhile I thought I might have to just leave and find another place."

"The room was absolutely lovely and restful. The hotel is very very nice and had a warm and relaxing feel to it. Old world elegance is the term I would use. We had breakfast and dinner at the Tach restaurant. The breakfast was very good with a varieties of choices and very farm to table. The dinner was excellent. Staff always friendly and attentive. The bar is especially charming and made a mean whisky sour. Loved the fireplaces for a cosy nightcap. All in all, a very pleasant stay. The only recommendation? Perhaps be the first luxury hotel to offer excellent decaf coffee. "
