"The Emeline Hotel is very unique. We got upgraded to a one bedroom suite which was a wonderful surprise. They have a great coffee place inside and a small shopping area - big bar and sitting area outside. There sister hotel is the Ryder - so they give you drink tokens and you can get a free drink and sit near the pool if you wish. They did not charge us for valet parking -- which was super cool something to do with our status but yet The Ryder Hotel DID CHARGE 55.-- for parking plus resort...

"It was great! Water pressure and temperature was a little difficult and the pipes in the walls were noisy. Other than that, it was wonderful! Would stay again!"

"Walked into the check in area and the front desk was unoccupied. Waited around 10 mins and someone finally came out . Should’ve left out a sign out to let the guest know at least. A lady came out while I was sitting there waiting . Not even acknowledging that I’m there and walked into the door and return to the front desk . I wasn’t sure if she works here so I asked her . She stated that she works here and asked me what is it that I need . I believe the attitude and tone should be a bit better...

"The room was clean and comfortable. The location is great for walking around downtown Charleston. We appreciated the pool on a hot summer day, though it is rather small for the size of the hotel. We got lucky scooping up loungers both times we went to the pool. The drinks at the pool bar were delicious! "

"The lobby area was nice with a bar but it did not have complimentary coffee or water that I saw. My room was very clean. Loved the layout of room! Quiet and comfy too. Loved the price and location… close to hospital."

"Exceptionally clean. The breakfast was excellent. The staff at the desk could be friendlier and acknowledge guests when they come into the lobby if the hotel. The cleaning staff should be commended for the room cleanliness!"
