"The Retreat is gorgeous. The views of the Volcano and Lake are amazing. The pescatarian menu is perfect for vegetarians and pescatarians. All three meals are served. We did not have meals included but very much enjoyed dinner and breakfast there. The pocket sized gathering places are charming - slider over looking lake, dining room and reception, the separate lounge area with tea and coffee looking into the jungle. The evening walk was fun.
The property is on the top of a very steep hill...

"Amazing location 30min from La Fortuna, beautiful quiet place in the jungle, amazing to rest in hot tub in the late afternoon with light drizzle coming down and surrounded by nature. Excellent restaurant and friendly staff."

"The worst place we have ever been. The room was dirty, there were water leaks, cracked walls and floors, broken windows, rusty faucets. It rained the whole night and we could hear the loud noise of the water falling on the tin roof.
We had a reservation for four nights and stayed just one, after agreement with the director of paying for one night getting the rest of our money our money back. This never happened. We have been calling them for two months now and they just give bad excuses. Staff...

"A propriedade não condiz com as fotos do anúncio. Não tem vista para nenhum jardim, não tem nenhuma sinalização para identificação, e as toalhas estavam completamente encardidas. Não recomendo"

"The location was beautiful. The rooms are VERY large. I was not aware that the room did not have a/c or fan (but I did not read the details, I just assumed it did because of the pricing) the weather was not super hot this day so it was ok, but on a warmer day it definetly needs it, also no TV at least in our room, the bathroom had some leaking in the shower. The beds and pillows were ok. Maybe we just assumed beacuse of the price that it would be a little more premium. But the experience was Ok...
