"El lugar me pareció hermoso, si deseas vivir una experiencia de selva es un lugar muy lindo, con acceso a la playa que es muy linda. Sin embargo al reservar me hubiera gustado saber que las habitaciones no tienen paredes sólidas es una malla únicamente con cortinas, y con un bebé fue un poco complicada la estancia adicional hubieron huéspedes desconsiderados que ponían música a alto volumen en las Noches y madrugada y el no contar con paredes en la Habitación afectaba el descanso, creo que el Hotel debería poner esas reglas claras desde un inicio, es un lugar de descanso en medio de la naturaleza pero esas situaciones no lo permiten."

"Excellent staff and the property is reminiscent of a resort more so than a hotel/stay. Access to beach is extremely easy, attached to the backside of the property, though the beachfront is not 'developed' or 'set up' so do not expect a resort-like sun-chair set up. Excellent location if you want to be away from the hustle bustle of puerto viejo, but still biking distance to get to all the shops and cafes. Fabiano at the front desk, and Rosita for breakfast service, were both absolute delights and extremely helpful :)"

"We had the best stay at awa!! The property is very tastefully done , location on the beach is perfect , breakfast and just food overall (including the coffee) overall is delicious, and I can’t say enough good things about the staff , esp. Johnny .. he went out of his way to help us with some last minute booking changes that we would’ve otherwise stressed about. I also asked the reception staff about the amazing coffee they serve and they were kind enough to give me a sample !! Overall very relaxing and enjoyable stay and totally worth it !! Highly recommend AWA and we hope to be back"

"Lovely boutique hotel, good location. My only gripe being due to a mix up our room wasn't cleaned one day. The staff were so friendly, the wildlife on site was unreal and hotel has a real aire of class about it. Thank you!"

"Wonderful sea view from the room. Room and bathroom was a little dated but clean and everything was functional. Beds were comfy. Restaurant right downstairs is open to the sea giving stunning views and food was good but not much available for vegetarians."

"This has to be the most unique hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The layout of the hotel is so cool and unique. Although the rooms were small, it really has everything that you need. The bed was super comfortable and I got really good sleep. The people at the hotel were super kind, super accommodating and very friendly. I absolutely love the music that they were playing in the background so much that I even asked for the playlist. The breakfast was absolutely amazing every day I had the pancakes, the rice and the French toast. Everything was delicious. I also had dinner there one night and it was pretty good as well. The drinks at the bar were good and the bartender was kind and quick."
