"Perfect location directly on the beach, quiet. Warm pool. A hundred yards from a great restaurant, 10 minutes on the beach to walk to downtown. Breakfast was basic (3 choices). wifi only worked in the breakfast area (has a great view). Friendly personal, they let us check in early. Book an A/C room! Basic room but clean and spacious. Met lots of really interesting guests! Would come again!"

"Very cool place. Unique and beautiful. My kids loved the pool area, the pool table and swings chairs. Beds were very comfortable and the coffee machine with coffee at the hut was a nice surprise "

"For the money, ESH is a great deal. Very upscale, quiet, and the entire staff will accommodate every need or request at all times. It’s not on the coast, but rather up the hill about 5 minutes from town and the beach. Town is a happening place whereas ESH is simply peaceful. Best of both worlds. "

"This place was the cherry on top for our Costa Rican adventure. It was a perfect place to end our trip since it was the nicest hotel we stayed at and they had ALL the amenities and the location was ideal. The food at the restaurant was delicious as well. I cannot wait to go back!"

"The hotel room was spacious and clean. The property is clean, well-decorated, and we felt very safe. The staff was very friendly and appreciated a friendly conversation. Many of the staff recognized my partner and me and remembered our drink orders. The pool is absolutely beautiful and well-maintained, but we wish there were more pool chairs with umbrellas, as the sun is very intense. The beach is gorgeous with safe swimming access, which was a huge plus. The restaurants were great, but we were unsure about how to access the Nikoa restaurant and pool. We only stayed a week, and we thought that if we stayed longer, the food options would get old, which was why we were trying to figure out the other restaurants. The Nikoa pool and restaurant seemed like a super-nice, new part of the property that was hardly used at all. We also attended the free yoga classes on-site at the hotel, and the instructor was excellent. However, the hotel gym was old, dirty, and had no AC, which was crazy considering it's over 90 degrees every day. Overall, we would definitely stay at this hotel again. We felt we got a lot of value for what we paid!"
