"I never leave bad reviews but feel I need to share my families experience. We had a ground level floor with a view of bushes, 2 random plastic chairs on the patio that were very uncomfortable. Not cozy! To get to your room you have to walk through this very dark cave like hallway. Poor lighting. Several spiders on the wall and pillow. Holes in screen, Keep your suit cases zipped! My husband woke up to several bug bites! Stained carpet. We tried to watch a movie at night but no Wifi/ TV didn’t work. The # we were given at checkin for front desk reception either didn’t work or they just don’t answer the phones. We asked if it was possible to change rooms the first night, but bc there wasn’t water to another building, several guest were displaced and hanging around the lobby at 9:00 at night, we were told to speak with a manager in the morning. No a.c. The property is Very steep, no side walks, unwalkable. You have to drive everywhere on the property or ask for a shuttle (but again no one was answering the phone). No parking available at our building, everyone was getting blocked in! Guests that stayed in our building would leave notes with Rm # on car so guests could knock on their door if they needed to leave. We felt trapped! Large buses everywhere. You can’t easily walk to grab a cup of coffee. Inaccessible and kids had no freedom to explore. Felt more like an outdated college dorm feel with a common area to eat. Checked out in a.m. Hope this helps other future families. "

"We stayed for 3 nights. Initially, we were given a room in a stand-alone, 2-unit complex that had an unobstructed view of the volcano, but the room was not one of the recently renovated rooms in the property. We switched to one of the remodeled rooms on the second night in the main building as there were some ants getting into the original room, probably due to rain. The renovated room had modern amenities but the volcano was mostly blocked from view. The vista from the property ground was amazing. Besides the volcano, you could see the lake as well. Having meals in the open-air restaurant while enjoying the lake view was a joy. The swimming pool area was another attraction of the property. It was especially crowded during sunset as many enjoyed dipping in the pool orbl jaccuzzi All the staff were super friendly and helpful. Our request for room change due to the ants issue was swiftly responded to by the reception staff. The restaurant staff also prepared our to-go breakfast early so that we could pick up our food before the restaurant opened. We felt we were taken good care of during our stay. We took Uber for most of our trips to town and nearby attractions. We initially thought finding rides could be challenging as the property was a bit far from town and the route was windy. It turned out we didn't have issues finding rides from and to the hotel. I w "
