Canelones Hotels with Balcony

"I was expecting something a little bit more modern and updated and so my review is impacted by my impression that the hotel is due for a makeover. The electrical sockets were awkward and too few (so we needed to boil our water in the bathroom with the cord stretched over the sink) and the couch in our suite was old and a bit lumpy. We were asked to pay for our two pods of coffee each day which seemed odd to me, and a staff member eventually refunded the charges which I appreciate. We were given a 25% discount coupon to use in the hotel restaurant but it couldn't be used for our breakfast, which is the one meal we would have been able to eat at the hotel given our day trips. The hotel is in a lovely location, lots of nice restaurants close by, and back in the day I am certain it was a lovely and luxurious place to stay. It needs a nice update - and we felt safe and secure and overall it was a nice stay."

"We were only there for one night but the staff and the room and the breakfast the next day were excellent. Superior to some Hampton Inns in the United States. I would stay there again in a heartbeat and stay longer use the pool and the fitness room. I’m a very pleased and happy with my stay. "

"We had heard good things about the space but unfortunately our experience left us disappointed. The staff was very friendly and helpful but the room in itself was not very clean, there was a strong smell of smoke / weed in a room that was meant to be a non smoking room and there was no working air conditioning as the console was completely smashed and coming out of the wall. I can’t recommend this for a short stay given the price point and our experience"
