Cáceres Province Hotels with Breakfast

"This is probably the most beautiful hotel I’ve ever stayed in. It’s a magnificently well maintained, centuries old building with respect and thoughtfulness given to every aspect of the hotel. While it’s hundreds of years old, the amenities and facilities are modern without taking anything away from the oldness of the building. The grounds too are impeccably kept and the entire experience of it is simply amazing. I loved it here and hated to leave."

"Excellent staff. The room was in most respects good, but we hated it being two levels, with a flight of stairs to the bed. The restaurant was poor and we didn’t like that breakfast didn’t start until 8:00, although they did provide a limited cold breakfast at 7:00. "

"Lovely room with a huge bed, excellent bathroom and great air conditioning. The bar staff, reception staff and general staff were all kind and helpful. We ate from the restaurant menu in the bar and the food was fantastic. "

"If you like air-conditioning, this place is not for you. They control what times of year you can use the air conditioning and apparently the end of April is not one of them even when it is in the high 70s outside. Hot air was blown into our room, which made it especially uncomfortable. We had to sleep with the doors wide open without screens. The room was nice and the bathroom redone, but there is clearly deferred maintenance in that the overhead large suspended light was in need of repair. The food at dinner was delicious. Breakfast is just OK."

"This place is rather grand and cavernous - but feels more like a place for conferences now (there's no bar to relax in), and the wide staircase and long stretches of corridors made it feel like The Overlook Hotel in The Shining. Despite having very few customers, we ended up in a room with a view overlooking what looked like the staff kitchen and cleaning room, and the central core of the hotel (basically all the metal shafts, etc.), where water was constantly dripping, echoing all night. Saying that we enjoyed the weirdness, and the staff were excellent, as was the buffet breakfast, which was included."
