"Food is beneath expectations"

"I will start with the negative and end with the positive. Construction is way more than it was led to be. It’s advertised as closing in July for full renovation. There was no warnings when booked that there was major construction going on at this time. The day is full of construction noise and jack hammering of removing the patios of a section of the building and construction noise going on from 7:50am to 6-7 pm 7 days a week . They put on loud music in the morning by the building under construction at 8 am to try and tone down the sounds. . Alarms go off during the early hours between 2-3 am 7 -8 am every night . Pool decks are not very clean compared to other resorts I have been to . Maybe better maintained after renovations. I visit Mexico 4 times a year for 10 days at a time. Drinks could be better and more higher end liquor options for this resort level. There is some to choose from . Staff are amazing . Very friendly and willing to talk with you and get to k none you and remember your drink choices and always asked if you needed anything new drink. I liked that you can get as many towels you need by just giving room number. The lady at the towel hut was super friendly . Restaurant managers and staff always remembered my name and was super friendly. We met the operations manager and he always came to say high when we saw him and asked if we needed anything. He sent us chocolate covered strawberries and other goodies to our room . Food was good . I would try again"

"Everything was a 10/10! First time ever really loving buffet food at a resort, staff was super friendly and the resort is so well maintained. Will definitely be back!"

"We wanted to use the massage services, but the prices were actually much higher than some of the best spas in the U.S., which is why we decided not to use them. We did use the cabana service, but we did not like that they were all covered with bird droppings and were not cleaned even once during the entire week."

"It was a good overall stay but i few things could have been addressed. Was there celebrating my wifes 60 th birthday. 1 i emailed ahead of time and also asked front desk to contact the hibachi restaurant to supply a dessert with a candle but they did not supply. 2 i requested 3x to have my room corridor light to be repaired a wirk order card was left in my room that stated the work was complete but it never went on. 3 after walking across the hot beach without my sandals ( my fault) i stopped to the tortuga bar and asked for a bottle of water and the bar tender refused to give me one, he said they were only for the rental cabanas. I had a few drinks at this bar the day before and the same old bar tender gave me water bottles and even accepted my tip.???"
