"The hotel is in a beautiful setting with rooms set in the gardens around the main building which dates back 500 years. The service was very good but I have two criticisms the pool umbrellas were fixed so not allowing sufficient shade. The hotel does not have its own restaurant other than for breakfast and bar type snacks for lunch / early evening. However the setting made up for everything."

"Beautiful orchard with many cows and apple trees. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was delicious with the hosts’ own products eg apple juice, jam, honey and hot milk. The hosts William and Dominique were lovely. I miss the stay in the farm."

"LIKED: a quiet hotel on the sea, nice people and clean Parking is 9 Euro/night or park across street free. Beautiful beach about 200 feet out - calm and beautiful. Room with balcony overlooking sea was very nice but super small. There 3 nights and we worked through it. DISLIKED: the main issue and a key reason I booked was the overview of the Spa on the websites. It is super deceiving as it is not on-site or free as the site suggests. "I liked the location and the surroundings, the chief Concierge's superior efficiency in arranging difficult reservations at the full racecourse restaurant, however not the lack of pragmatisme to solve a minor issue in the overall scheme of things: I had two bookings , 1 day followed by 3 days consecutively, the 4 days warranting free breakfasts - the hotel refused on the basis that this did not represent a four day reservation!!? Sunday dinner was disgusting, four Veal dishes were overgrilled...
