"We’ve stayed at Bahamar for the last few years and this year was pretty disappointing. It was our first time at SLS and for the price and expectation, we were very disappointed.
It was Easter weekend so it was a extremely crowded. We expected that when we couldn’t find a room at Grand Hyatt and only a few were left at SLS. We were like sardines.
The grounds were filthy. Cups, food, old towels, garbage, etc. we’re all over the place. It was filthy.
We expected the rooms to be excellent but they were small, dirty, not well kept, and run down.
The restaurants and restaurant staff were the only exception to the low rating. They were extremely friendly, kind, and the food was absolutely delicious no matter where we went. The service for food is 12/10 always and we were so happy that lived up to our expectations.
Our son LOVED the marine biologist experience. The staff was extraordinary. Such a Great experience. Highly recommend!
I left my expensive jacket and two children's jackets in the room upon check out. On my way to the airport, I called the staff so my friend could grab it from them before she left the next day. They told me they couldn’t find it and to file a claim. It was clearly on top of the counter. I called many times that day and emailed a bunch too. There’s no way that I’m getting those clothing items back. Such a shame. The hotel was disappointing and our belongings were taken by hotel staff.
We will not be returning to Bahamar."
