"Saubere geräumige Zimmer mit Balkon, aber im Zentrum von Ella: viele LKW,
viele Tuktuk, Abgase , Ruhe ab ca 22.00. Staff war sehr hilfreich, spricht gut englisch, erfüllt Sonderwünsche umgehend. Frühstücksbuffet war für 5 Euro
schwach, als Brotbelag gabs keine Wurst, nur eine Sorte Käse, dafür viel warmes Srilankaessen. Restaurant nebenan gehört zum Hotel. Ella an sich ist hässlich, laut und stinkig. Der Clou sind eben die Bahn, das Hochland, der Tee."

"Das Hotel sollte Expedia aus dem Programm nehmen. Das Zimmer war schmutzig, verstaubt. Das Bad riecht übel. Kein warmes Wasser. Das fenster im Bad liess sich nicht schließen, dadurch besteht die Gefahr dass Mosquitos ungehindert eindringen und das in den Tropen. Im Flur liegen tote Insekten, Kakerlaken. Insgesamt ist das gesamte hotel schmutzig und heruntergekommen auch wenn sich das Personal bemüht. "

"Beautiful clean, spacious room. Comfortable bed and fantastic rain head shower.
From our balcony we had the most amazing view over the lake.
The staff are very attentive, Peter their maitre de gives the most professional service we have had since leaving Australia.
The owners Kumudula and his wife Sulani (I hope I've spelt your names right) made us feel so welcome from the start. We drank tea with them and on our second day joined them for a trip on the lake in their boat.

"Decent hotel with a great view and nice spacious rooms... not too far from city center, but too far to walk as there is a bit of traffic.
Breakfast and amenities could be better for the price."
