"I stayed at Tofino Resort + Marina from July 1–4. When I booked several months in advance, I requested an oceanfront room, but was given a room overlooking the parking lot with the ocean mostly blocked by trees. When I called to ask about switching rooms, I found the staff member dismissive, which was disappointing.
The room also wasn’t as clean as expected, with hair left in the bathtub. The walls were very thin, making it easy to hear guests above us, and the bed was uncomfortable. Overall,...

"Great hotel; I’d stay there again.
Clean, nice room. Full kitchen was useful. Bathtub on the balcony was unique. We were on the quiet side towards the calm water with a view of the mountains.
Odd: the Expedia room listing said the amenities included one bottle of wine per stay. This was not provided. The hotel staff denied this was an offer but requested I email them so they could investigate. I received no reply.
Odd 2: none of the windows opened, which was disappointing.
