"The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The only troublesome thing that my wife and I had during our entire stay at the Wingate by Wyndham Anchorage Downtown/Ship Creek, almost every day, we had to have our room key rebooted."

"Everything. Over 10 nights we stayed in 6 hotels in Alaska and the Yukon. This was our favorite. Other than a somewhat weird coffee maker, the property was perfect. Comfortable king bed. Big TV. Fridge. Nice bath products. Responsive temperature adjustment. Tastefully decorated. Very nice bathrobes. Walking distance to lots of restuarants."

"The property is amazing. The walk in coffee shop unfortunately guilts/shames you into to tipping a min of 20%, even if you just order a bottle of water. The big screen they turn around for you to pay that makes you select a tip or not is irritating as everyone behind you can see if you tip. If I order my food and I am standing, I am not tipping.. those staff get a non-tipped wage. Get rid of the tip shakedown …"

"This was our first stay in the south tower. It must be the oldest part of the hotel & is showing its age. When we stayed on other trips, we were in the central section of the hotel & it was much newer, much less worn. I think the newer section has more sound proofing because I recall our room there being very quiet. That is one of the main reasons we chose to stay here. The south tower is much noisier. But the staff is warm, welcoming & efficient. Next time we'll ask for the central tower."
