"Helpful staff, clean rooms, meals were fab. However no aircon in the room made it very uncomfortable to sleep & there was quite a delay in getting food & it didn’t seem to be overly busy when we sat down to eat"

"Staff were excellent. Very helpful. Food good. However, our room, No.3, was shabby, to say the least. Definitely not value for the price. Mould in the shower. Peeling wallpaper. Toilet window unable to open. Dirty carpet. Burnt arm on heated towel rail when bent down to retrieve towel from floor. No warning notice. Double wall socket peeling from wall. Dirty TV remote held together by sellotape. Small TV with poor sound. Photos support my assertions."

"What a deceptively lovely place to stay. The exterior hides the warmth and friendliness inside. Beautifully up to date and simply designed interior. Easy to navigate and super clean. Access to the rooms can be up the fire escape stairs from the rear car park, best for us, or through the bar. And we took advantage of the cutlery and plates offered for our takeaway. Brilliant! "We stayed at the Peak Hotel for 3 nights & unfortunately did not have a positive experience. While the property is exactly as advertised—a charming historic building with a pub downstairs—it feels more like a pub with a few guest rooms than a traditional hotel. "Room was adequate, the heated towel rail was on the other side of the bedroom wall so the bedroom was uncomfortably hot, even at night - but the wife preferred this. The bed was quite firm and a good size. It was difficult to view the TV screen from the settee on the back wall. Tea (Yorkshire) and coffees were plentiful - not so much biscuits. Full English, plus cereals, juice, toast and tea/coffee refills welcome."

"I have never had such good sleep outside my home. We had an excellent experience here. The location is perfect, and the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive throughout our stay. Our room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, and the kitchen was fully equipped with all the essentials.
