We arrived later than schedule at Hotel Smart Palace, they told us they weren't able to hold our rooms though we got there within the time frame of checking in. We were supposed to have two rooms with two queen beds. The owner was friendly and the bellhop helped with our luggage to their nearby hotel, Hotel Smart Plaza. What a major difference in service quality and rooms. The staff at Hotel Smart Plaza were rude, the bellhops kept asking for tip. They were stingy on toilet paper and extra blankets since it was freezing in the rooms. The rooms was not what we booked. It was dirty and there was only a mattress on the floor as opposed to two queen beds in each room. I prepaid the hotel for a big cab the night we arrived for the next morning to the airport. The cab arrived 25mins late and the hotel staff said the first cab was too small and he had to order another cab (van instead of a car). There were 5 of us with 5 luggages. The hotel staff said he would get a big cab, his words, not mine. It was obvious he was trying extort us because we had agreed on the cab size and amount the night before. I had to pay extra so we could leave that terrible hotel and get to the airport on time. The only good thing about the hotel was the decent breakfast and waiter.
