We wanted a short stopover near the airport. The cluster of hotels nearby are all in a bit of a dodgy/grubby location and the taxi drivers will try and overcharge to get you there. Initial thoughts - lobby looks fancy... and then later thoughts....they obviously spent their entire budget on the lobby.
Taken to a room, but then were told to change as something in the bathroom wouldn't work. The room was a good size but overall just felt a bit grubby. There was no blanket on the bed - there was one in the cupboard but with no sheet on, so we had to ask for one to be put on at reception which a staff member came to do whilst we sat there awkwardly. I didn't really feel comfortable in the room and even slept on an old t-shirt instead of the pillow.
For wifi, you had to take your device down to reception, which we didn't bother with as our stay was literally over night.
Breakfast was just us and the staff, which felt a bit weird - like we were disturbing them. Late at night there were noisy people in the room opposite, which in retrospect we wondered if it may even have been the staff. We didn't stay long, but the hotel just felt a bit neglected, uncared for and empty.
Wouldn't liked to have stayed there any longer than we did.
Pros - nice lobby and they called a taxi for us.
Also there is a nearby hotel called Hotel Aura, not to be confused with Hotel de Aura.
