"This was a wonderful experience, very friendly staff who were always ready to help, offering glasses of chilled water in the spacious and well-furnished public rooms and alcohol in the evenings. We stayed in the large Shakespeare room, often used as a Bridal Suite. The spa is great, with a good sized pool, a jacuzzi and unusual sauna. Really good breakfasts served in bedrooms and at the nearby sister-hotel Milsoms. The fine dining at the main restaurant on the nearby River Stour was sublime,...

"The breakfast and overall service were excellent. The bed was quite uncomfortable and mad sleeping difficult (even after a bottle of red wine!). I was also disappointed to find that my IHG “points” were not applied because I booked through Expedia! I may have missed this when booking but, if it wasn’t made clear, it should be!"
