I had a very pleasant stay at this motel. The owner is a very lovely helpful man. I felt comfortable as soon as I got there. I had a great nights sleep.

This property is disgusting. We did not stay but moved to another hotel. The Capricornia is filthy, unsafe and you should not have it in your portfolio. Gives Wotif a bad name

They had no after hours check in facility. No phone number to ring so e couldn't stay there but the place was pretty skanky from the outside

Very bad, no blankets available, there was a dirty bath towel in the fridge so couldn't be used at all (I took pictures) and the fridge was very noisy! No curtains to completely block the view, horrible!

Worst place. Dirty rooms and conditions of the room not up to standard. Power points hanging off the walls. Paint flaking on walls and ceiling. No toilet paper in the toilet. Drunk people knocking on the door all hours of the night. Please don't stay here.

It was cheap so you get what you pay for…but I should have had hot water for a shower. The springs on the mattress were felt and very uncomfortable.

The ceiling fan and air-conditioning unit were filthy. The fan had approx 1inch of dust on the fan blades. There was mould over the air con and coming out of the sides. Spider webs in the shower cubicle, drain was filthy. Smoke detector was removed and NO Hot Water. I have pictures to document. Absolutely disgusted

Convienant location. VERY POOR CONDITION OF THE ROOMS. PAINT LIFTING OFF THE WALLS, CEILING FANS NOT WORKING. AIRCONDITIONING FILTERS CLOGGED UP WITH ABOUT10MM DUST. NO CHAIR IN ROOM NO BEDSIDE CUBOARDS. NO TV WORKING/ RECEPTION. FRIDGE NOT WORKING. FILTHY CONDITION. NO COFFEE/TEA CUPS AND SPOONS. STAFF CHANGED MY BOOKING ROOM 3 TIMES AND NONE WAS ANY SATISFACTORY. DON'T RECOMMEND FOR ANY STAY. HEALTH AND HYGEINE INSPECTORS REQUIRE TO INSPECT PREMISES.

The room was filthy. Stains on all the walls, the door, and the bathr oom tiles which were cracked to. After pulling the sheet back and looking at the mattress I left. It was putrid! Badly stained and brown all over. I think the found it at the dump. Disgusting and I will be attempting to get my money back!

THE ROOM THAT I BOOKED ON 20TH OF SATURDAY, THE ROOM IS VERY DIRTH COBWEB EVERY WERE BATHROOM AND TOILET VERY DIRTY SO I COULD NOT SLEEP IN THAT ROOM SO I HAVE TO GO TO ANOTHER TO BOOK A ROOM TO SLEEP ON THAT DAY. I COULD NOT BELIEVE THAT HOTEL CAN SO DIRTY LIKE THAT, IN THIS CASE AM HAPPY WITH UR SERVICE.

This place is a health and safety hazard. Room stinks. Bedding and walls stained and mouldy. Aircon never cleaned and packed with dust. Smoke detector removed, other fire services not serviced for more than 2 years. No light on the back stairs, i nearly fell there in the dark. Emergency light broken. I considered driving off and sleeping in my car, but there was a fight between residents downstairs and i would have to go past them to open the gate, rather locked myself in and left as soon as i could in the morning.

i did not even book in after i seen the state of the motel with doors missing, paint peeling, filthy surrounds, no body at reception. Looked like a half way house. stayed elsewhere.

This place was (apparently) the place to be a long time ago. Now it is one step off being a ruin. The only good point was that it had rooms for reasonable comparatively cheap rates. The rest of Darwin was booked out at below $300/n.

We were initially impressed with staff very helpful as we were leaving late in the evening to go to the airport and need a taxi, they booked for us. The air conditioner was very noisy so very difficult to sleep. Cobwebs on the walls near door. Needs updating.

The best thing about this place was the hotel dog Oscar. We had to ask for the basics that are provided even in backpackers. The photos are deceiving on the expedia site. Ultimately we should have paid attention to the reviews before we committed to booking.. but we had to ask for a room clean as we were told it was done once a week. The drain in the shower has never been cleaned of hair. The basin taps turned around and were loose. The shared kitchen needs to be shut down. You should not have black extraction fans and a black cutting board. The microwave was disgusting. We knew it was bargain basement nut but not that bad. The only thing that they have going is the location in relation to the racetrack and the boat clubs.. the staff were ok except on the last day we had a hard time trying to ignore the language of staff who resided next to our room having a expletive screaming match with his latest squeeze. We have never been so happy to leave a place and stay in a van..

This property has not been cleaned for a very long time. Dead cockroaches under the sink. Cups stuck to the dirty tray they were on. Floors have not been swept or mopped for ages. Clothes cupboard doors would not slide open. Thank god we only stayed one night. It was the last accommodation available during racing season.
