"Beautiful room and property first time staying while we were headed to the beach will definitely stay again"

"We needed a landing spot for a long drive to the beach and this place fit the bill. In fact, many of the guests were doing the same thing. Check in was easy. Property is dated but obviously cared for. Rooms were clean and updated. Paint was peeling off the bathroom door, but it didn’t bother us. "An old building budget motel with maybe a few permanent residents and no fancy cars in the lot but worked well for this old biker. The room was recently painted and clean. No bugs, a hot shower with great pressure. Waffle house across the street, McD next door. A good view of the famous mountain."

When we told the staff they told us to use our cell phones and maintenance would take care of it tomorrow and offered to move us to a room on the fourth floor while the elevator wasn’t working. They didn’t know there is a remote to raise the blinds. We found out when we checked out."

"We had a wonderful experience at this dome site! It was a hot day, but inside the dome was very cool. The views were amazing, and it was a very peaceful spot. We enjoyed the fire pit, and we will definitely return! We also love how close it was to nearby attractions like Pilot mountain State Park, Mount Airy and even hanging rock State Park."

The property is peaceful, surrounded by nature, and we loved seeing the beautiful view of Pilot Mountain right from the farm. "The Virginian is a small and older motel in small town southern Virginia. If you are looking for a bed for a few nights this is the place. If you're looking for fancy, look elsewhere, The staff was helpful, the beds comfortable, and the location convenient for what I needed. It is also pet friendly for a $10 per night pet fee, much less than I have paid elsewhere."

The complete disarray and disfunction of the facility was not on the website. The disgusting carpets everywhere were not portrayed on the website. If I arrived during the day, I would have cancelled my reservation. This place is a dump."
